and in reality chinese never had monk they were a cast of people that introduced Buddhism to their culture that came with the monk way the shaolin way is actually a balance of the body and not of combat they never really fought in any war like samurai and such but actually influenced more aggresive method to open up in the way of fighting,shaolin are supposed to spread the way of buddhism and if you know buddhism its not a warrior religion...far from that

and the fact that people think shaolin is the birth of martial art is far from true

also i suggest you either go back to school or go in a country that will actually teach you the real stuff and actually give you an education that wont make you look like a total r%#*rd

and you shouldnt trust google for such important information the internet turned into a big piece of crap if you didint notice...its not all bad but yes there is some stuff that are actually a bunch of lie and misconception also the official shaolin robe is brown with yellow or orange belt from what i remember from my studie in chinese history

the robe you see in diablo is actually a tibet monk robe....which is only occupied and corrupted by the chinese nation...i could show some graphic pic but these are kind of easy to find so...oh and if interested in some nice little history look how they drain resource and corrupt the land and give none to the people there...maybe you could gain knowledge out of that and about how corrupted our stupid race is and how the protector the almighty american are still getting rich instead of keeping the peace and giving back the right these people have...i know not surprising but most think the chinese are the only bad influence there lol

Actually, you're completely wrong. Martial arts derived from bodhidharma, who originally designed a series of movements as a form of exercise, that doubled as self defense training to protect the temples from warlords and bandits. It is the origin of both gung fu, and tai chi, which are two of the oldest martial arts, of which all of the eastern fighting styles descend from.

The design of the monk in D3 is based off him, as bodhidarmha, one of the founders and prophets of buddhism was both bald and had a beard exactly like the monk in this game. As a monk, the last thing you'd be concerned with is a little facial hair because you live up in a secluded mountain.

Also, the monk's design in D3 touches upon the european monk as well, who left his beard as a testament to god.

In a sense, the fact that you call him a hobo is a complete disrespect to the monks of old, as many throughout the world predominantly had beards. Insulting the US only proves how ignorant the points you make are, and how little research you have done on the subject. The point of a monk's teaching isn't about looking nice, it's about finding enlightenment within oneself, or fulfillment. The beard just underscores this point, and shows the age and wisdom of the monk.
