Seven Sided Strike overpowered? - Page 2

[:1]My interpretation of the Monk's 'special abilities', the ones that use his Spirit resource is that they are meant to be disproportionately powerful since he has to charge them up so much from his combo moves. Each time you use these abilities it will be a kind of special event that you don't want to waste on the wrong moment. So I don't feel that it's too powerful at all.|||From a PvP perspective I think it looks very weak as it puts you in a fragile position. You are basicly telling people, that alright, after I'm done kicking you in the *** 7 times, I will be right here.

If people can counter, like Diamond Skin I think the Wizards shield is called, it would be very useless, aswell as just asking to get a few meteors on top of you.|||SSS was more broken than OP in 2009 blizzcon build. The skill was fun to use, but it wasn't integrated into the AI yet; all the monsters simply stopped moving when you cast it, and the Monk teleported to the spot and landed multiple free hits on anything in the area. Needless to say, that wasn't a preview of how it was going to work in the game, it was just a rough version to give us something cool to look at and play with.

It will be interesting to see how they've changed this and how it's made to fit reasonably into the game. I'd guess that it will be some kind of super cool version of Zeal or Fend. Multiple very fast hits on anything in the vicinity, with much flashier graphics. But the Monk can't become immune during it, and giving it a teleport to start with seems very OP.
