How satisfied are you with the Monk? 1-10

[:1]Well, we've been waiting a long long tiem for the announcment of the 4th char.

With the fact that we already had full Melee, full Spellcaster and one jungle hobo, and confident speculation of a Ranger class, there was a big question concerning the last 5th char.

Now, although the Monk was announce suprisingly as the 4th char and not the 5th, how satisfied are you from his as a char, and probably the spot filler of the "Wild Card 5th char"?

1-10

(10 being the highest.. LOL ^^)

Go |||10... the Monk is awesome|||Mmm, I'll say 5. Not terribly excited, but not too disappointed either.|||3 here.

He had to be Asian since the Pal is Black! ^_-

P.S.: For those who haven't seen him yet , sparing them Google-ing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFGXKV_45HQ.|||I'll give a tentative 7.

The Monk is what I predicted, and he looks really cool. I'm skeptical though, as his combo system may be a little too complex for what I want in a Diablo game.

I guess I'll just have to wait and play him to know for sure though |||10/10 I really wanted a melee class that relied on speed and was surprised that my wish came true.|||10/10. Gameplay-wise, he looks exactly like my kind of character, and he looks badass. I bet his beard has accomplished more than most monarchs of civilizations past.|||9. Wanted a quick & fast melee character and seems like this one might be it. Dunno about the combo system though. Everytime I see combo sequencing requirements, it always just seems to limit the way a char can be played. Hopeif it sticks, the monk's combat play will feel more open ended than just hit off combo 1 then combo 2 etc.|||8/10

He loses a point for the future problem of looking silly in heavy armor. Really, anything higher than splint mail will not make any sense at all.

Another point comes off for a combination of things: we already have melee info and lots of it; an archer class would have been more satisfying to the fans. We have only a few of his skills known and no idea what the trees are. And most of all, the trailer video has very poor animation and obvious polygons with little detail. A good idea and look for a Diablo class, but poor presentation. Not sure if moving faster than the eye can follow is a good thing; it's hard to tell what he's really doing. It's even harder to see what's going on with all the light effects from his attacks. It would have been nice to see him with different weapons than the obvious choice of staff or claws. Still a good addition though.|||10 from me. Wanted a Monk but didn't think we would get one, and it even has a cool combo system as a plus.
