Despite the fact that everytime I see a Wizard the Monk seems like a stupid little bald man, his design is AWFUL.
He play exactly like the Barbarian- He's slow, heavy with mindlessly non stragety fighting and he feels like he's carrying a massive full plate. What about speed? Agility? This is no fast char.
Not to mention- Why, for the love of God, D3 chars can't stand up erect?

Monk: "focus more on speed than raw power" (Yesterday's panel)
How can you seriously say he's not fast. Compare a solo Barbarian gameplay video to his solo gameplay video. He rips through hordes of enemies faster.
Strategy fighting? Its Diablo .... Hack n Slash genre. Maybe D1 needed some strategy fighting because monsters were insanely OP, or maybe D2 in Chaos Sanctuary because of IM, but where else have you seen strategy in D2? LOL|||Quote:

Did we watch the same video? I don't really know what I can say when I have the exact opposite reaction from you. There's not really much to say. Slow, heavy, not a fast character? Eh? !!|||Also, here's LaZeR from an earlier thread, as the Korean Blizzard site leaked:

WTF? How can you possibly even judge whether a character is disappointing without having seen any footage, not even a screen shot? All I can conclude is that you have some kind of instinctual distaste for monks. And maybe that can help explain your crazy interpretation of his style.|||Quote:

Unfortunately, most of the time people make up their minds on first impression and then go about the task of gathering evidence for their position.|||It's looking good, though I found the screen shaking a bit annoying. Skill sound effects should also be toned down a little, the constant woosh waash is tiring and I couldn't really hear monsters' sounds or weapon hits.|||Quote:

My reaction was more like: omg if you play in a 5 monk party and everyone uses the 7punchstrike it becomes a chaos from all these overspeeded moves. I hope its still clear whats going on when you teamplay in d3
|||Aye I noticed the Fist Weapons on the official site then saw him using em on the extended gameplay video, totally awesome! Exploding Palm = WIN also
