I'm pretty sure monks will be able of using swords and blades, such as scimitars....|||I'm sure that the monk will be able to use all sorts of weapons and shields, but I think he'll still look the coolest fighting unarmed or using a Bo/Staff.

The mental image I got when I thought about a monk using scimitars was of Kratos from God of War. Pretty awesome.
