Shouldn't Exploding Palm NOT work on Skellies?

'Cause it clearly does.

And that's just wierd.|||But posion and locusts should not work on skellies either.|||They should explode, but not with blood, enough said.|||Quote:

:O

splintering dmg.|||spears shouldn't work on skellies either. Spears shouldn't work at all with a skill like WW, for that matter.

That said, it's always problematic to worry much about "realism" when we're talking about walking, fighting, reanimated piles of bones. So just find an excuse. It's only thought of as Exploding Heart since that's a useful metaphor for the function. It's actually a magical attack that dwells within the interior of any animated creature, and creates an explosion of red blood from thin air, kind of like calling down a Meteor, but in reverse.

That said, it would be pretty sweet if champions inflicted by Exploding Palm blew up in green/blue/orange/etc blood, instead of red. (Everything was red in the Blizzcon build, and I blew up a LOT of enemies with that skill.)|||Quote:

The only thing that should work on skellies are existential questions, like, how they can move around without having muscles. Let alone being able to ponder those things without having any organs whatsoever, the mere thought of it would make them explode into a dust of nothingness. That and hammers, big mother****ing hammers.|||I don't think poisons or exploding palms should work! People can change strategies, damnit. It's not like players are going to have only one skill this time around anyway.|||Exploding palms would work if they were based on Karate Kid/Iron Fist techniques where they just hit so hard that it blows things up. And spears work if you use them longways instead of frontways. Poison... eunno.|||Magic did it.|||if i remember correctly Leech didnt work off skellies in D2, i imagine there will be some similar restrictions in D3, as for exploding palm... i dont know, it causes bleeding damage which is explosively fatal. game balancing may see bleeding as ineffective against skellies and stop the palm from working. i'm not really big on realism for fantasy settings so im inclined to let it go.
