Where did the art come from anyway?

It just seems too uncanny to have been some fan art (like deviant or something). It genuinely looks like the concepts from blizz O.O|||Nope it's from an MMORPG called Atlantica Online: http://mercforhire.blogspot.com/

It looks like this in-game: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.massively...ntica_monk.jpg|||Quote:

Nice find

Edit:

Found A pic showing the Progression of the Monk in Atlantica .. here it is.

|||What a waste, these monks seem to be some kind of "mercenaries", not a "class"...

But yeah, Blizz should look at some of these concepts. Making them more East meets West monk, that would be interesting|||I think Blizzard nailed the East-meets-West look very well on the basic Monk design. I'm quite confident they'll make his armor progression stick with that design philosophy.|||Quote:

Awesome find!|||I've read all of this and haha, nice find dude, i was certain that it was Blizz artwork too, not you got me convinced its not! But yeahm im sure blizz will increase the progression, i like the monk and i think it will be my first char.|||My take on how a Heavy Armor monk could look like:

On deviant art.|||the steel robe looking thing that's been pegged as brigandine, splint armor, scale armor, or plate armor is what's known as lamellar armour. it's a series of small plates woven into one another in parallel rows (it's the little connective ties between each plate that gives it away). try goggling 'mongolian armor' for images, a lot of pieces will come up that look similar to that part of the ensemble.
