Runes and combo skills

Anybody else been wondering how skill runes will affect the monk�s combo skills?

I personally have no idea�.|||Seven sides strike Multi rune.

Haha, my thought exactly when I read that!|||I personally think the hardest character for the Devs to make rune effects for will be the Monk, also feel if they succeed in doing it ... his skills with rune effects will be the most entertaining to use.

On a second thought, they might actually have to tone down some of the Monk abilities to be able to make runes work with them, seven sided strike without runes would -for example- hit one target seven times, but when upgraded with multi rune it would hit seven targets once each + slightly more damage per attack.

It just feels the Monk abilities are too flashy and elaborate that it's hard to think what kind of visual/technical improvement can the runes add to an already devastating, elaborate and very flashy skill.|||Asking Jay about runes won't work. He explained at Blizzcon 09 that runes are the last thing they do, because if anything about the base skill changes, they have to scrap everything else.|||Exploding Palm + Lethality rune: all three charges add the DoT effect. I thought about this when I first saw them. Either they would have to make the rune effects very very generic, so they easily can be balanced, otherwise it will be a biiiig bloody jigsaw puzzle of balancing...
