Because the term "monk" applies only to males. :/
Making a female monk would be like making a male amazon. It works, but it wouldn't made sense. D:
And how would she dress like? o.o;|||A female monk is a monk...
It isn't a male name.|||This points out that the "trans-gender" D3 crap is true crap indeed!|||Quote:

It is.
It doesn't really matter, it's a fantasy game so if they want female monks they can but technically monks are male, as amazons are female, as freezing arrow said.
I think the styling of the monk can easily translate to a female. I'm not sure if Blizzard have the stones to make her bald but I think she would look good. I'll stick my neck out and suggest they'll be losing the beard for the female version.|||Sorry I must be confused.
Simple mistake.
The real world ones were guys praying alot. The [s]Eastern[/s] monks didn't even hone their body.
In an rpg, or arpg, it's a class based on unarmed attacks, male and female.
*finaly gets back on*
I meant European, not Asian, just in case.|||Inspired by pen and paper rpgs they said. And monks can be male or female in D&D.|||yeah, I still remember Vhallae, my level 8 LG Monk who died in an earthquake.|||Quote:
